The opportunity to become more involved in the winery equipment business occured in 1990 when Valley Pipe & Supply, Inc. acquired many of the patterns of Valley Foundry and Machine Works. The Defranceschi group has bought out the winemaking division of the well-known German company AMOS G.m.b.H. of Heilbronn, renown world-wide as a leading manufacturer of winemaking and fruit processing machinery.
With the addition of the Amos trademark to the wine machinery sector, the Defranceschi group is now able to meet the needs of the entire winemaking industry with its own products right from the start, from grape receiving, crushing-destalking, pressing, fermentation to temperature control and storage.
